Job Description: Investments Technology Analyst
Position Overview: A highly skilled & motivated Investments Technology Analyst with strong background in investment management, technology, data and supporting large technology implementation projects. The role requires analysis of end user facing, data, and integration related ask for strategic initiative of moving client’s investment’s business to a Global Target Operating Model (TOM) by implementing set of vended and internally built solutions. The domain touches client, portfolio management, operations, compliance, and data solutions \ Trading \ Compliance and has a global focus.
- Prefer domain knowledge of OCIO \ Privates Alts \ Hedge Fund business.
- Hands on experience with Databricks \ snowflake \ AI tooling is preferred.
- System Exposure around State Street Systems \ ADP \ MCH \ RKS \ TruView \ FactSet \ S&P EDM \ Jacobi \ CRM Systems \ is an advantage.
Responsibilities:
• Perform analysis by collaborating with global stakeholders (say, Business, Global peers, vendors, technology stakeholders) to understand end user & integration needs and design the global solution with minimum regional specific solution asks.
• Writes the business specifications around an application or specific function.
• Translate business requirement into technical specification.
• Assist in solution designing that bring together the solutions of vendor partners aligning with business requires for internal development.
• Lead user group meetings and stakeholders’ collaboration to prioritize the backlog.
• Consults with development team with clear requirements resolve queries or issues.
• Support testing team as needed, participate in test plan creation & execution and signing off on functionality before production releases.
• Assist in the estimation of features, products, projects and in resource budgeting.
• Prepares training materials and answers user’s questions.
• Ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures, & regulatory requirements.
• Act as a liaison to development teams operating in region and analysts located on Mercer’s regional offices as required.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in relevant field, say Computer Science, Finance, Data Analytics. Professional certifications in relevant areas (e.g., CFA) are a plus.
• Strong Investment domain knowledge & experience around investment products, asset classes, & investment strategies. OCIO business knowledge is a strong plus.
• Experience working as an analyst on large global solution initiative span across regions with multiple internal build alongside vended interfaces solutions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail, working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with ability of adapting priority changes and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong knowledge around software development methodologies, Agile development, tools, SDLC, and technologies.
• Broad domain experience with portfolio and order management systems (e.g., Factset, CRD/State Street Alpha), Investment data warehouse solutions (e.g., Eagle), modern cloud-based data warehouses/lakes technology, BI tools, investor client reporting systems and client facing systems.
• Experience with technologies like, cloud-based data warehouse/lake platforms, such as AWS data technologies, Databricks, and Snowflake platforms is a plus.
• Knowledge of BI tools (e.g., Qlik) a strong plus and designing data solutions for ease of use by BI platforms to enable data self-service is a strong plus.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases
• Experience in projects that involved the use AI is plus.
• Lean process analysis skills are a plus.
• Experience in PowerPoint, Visio, Excel, Word.
